JE za obiskovalce našega otoka in seveda tudi večine ostalih otokov, turističnih krajev, znamenitosti in podeželja.
NI za tiste, ki bi brez varovanja rinili v squatter aree, v zakotne dela rdečih četrti in v kakršnekoli mamilarske druščine.
Pred nekaj dnevi smo prebrali o skupini mlajših tujcev, ki so jih zaprli zaradi posedovanja mamil. Ti bodo gnili v zaporu desetletja in zgolj čudež jih lahko reši.

A few days ago, we read about a group of younger foreigners imprisoned for drug possession. They will rot in prison for decades, and only a miracle can save them.

Je pa priporočljivo: hepatitis A in B.
Cepiti se morate prvič vsaj mesec dni pred odhodom sem, ker morate dobiti po enem mesecu še drugo dozo cepiva.

Denar – dolarje ali evre zamenjate v menjalnicah.
Ne menjajte večjih vsot na letališčih ali bankah, ker imajo praviloma slabše menjalne tečaje kot menjalnice. Tudi v menjalnicah malo primerjajte tečaje preden se odločite, kje boste zamenjali večjo vsoto.
Povsod menjajo dolarje, na manjših otokih pa marsikje ne menjajo evrov.

Malo poglejte okoli, ko menjate, če vas kdo opazuje in ne važite se z veliko denarja, tako da vas drugi vidijo.

Pri dvigovanju z bankomata izgubite skoraj 7-10%; 240 pesov je vsak dvig, potem vam vzame nekaj še banka, izgubite pa še zaradi slabega tečaja menjave v pese.
Če že morate dvigniti denar z bankomata dvignite največjo dovoljeno vsoto – 10.000 pesov, ker vam bankomat vzame 240 pesov ob vsakem dvigu.

Tam, kjer je veliko revnih in obupanih ljudi, je seveda prisoten tudi kriminal.
Glejte kje hodite, ne rinite sami v squatter aree, ne razkazujte dragih fotoaparatov, kamer, zlatega nakita, ne mahajte naokoli z Iphoni in predvsem ne oblačite se kot kakšen trapast turist, ki ga tatovi in kriminalci opazijo na en kilometer.
In varujte se ljudi, ki vas kličejo FREND.

Pazite na torbice in nahrbtnike in seveda denarnice; še posebej v Jeepneyih kamor se stlačijo ljudje kot sardine.
NE EKSPERIMENTIRAJTE Z NOBENO VRSTO DROGE. Tukaj take pobijajo, ker je to del Dutertejeve politike, kako izkoreniniti drogo in kriminal.
Pazite tudi, da vam kdo česa ne podtakne v vašo osebno prtljago.

Ceste in posledično nesreče z mopedi/motorji, ker ponoči vsepovsod ležijo sredi ceste psi, ogromne luknje in popolnoma neosvetljeni motorji – tudi taki s prikolicami. Mnogi tukaj tudi vozijo z dolgimi lučmi in te ponoči popolnoma zaslepijo.

ZA ZAKLJUČEK: Za pametne, premišljene ljudi tukaj ni nevarno. Tudi v Sloveniji lahko dobite klopa, ali vas zbije nekdo na prehodu za pešce, da ne govorim, koliko motoristov pobijejo zanič vozniki, ki zapeljejo na prednostno cesto, ne da bi pogledali.

DROGE Na droge sploh ne pomislite, niti na marihuano, kaj šele, da bi to nosili s seboj ali pa javno konzumirali, razen če radi igrate Rusko ruleto. Tukaj se ne šalijo; če te ne ustrelijo kar na mestu, boš pa sedel v zanikrnem zaporu več desetletij.
MLADOLETNICE Seks in celo druženje z mladoletnicami. Primer: receptor v hotelu je prijavil turista z dvema puncama v sobi; nič niso delali, vendar za to ni milosti. To imenujejo tukaj human trafficking in za to BREZPOGOJNO SEDIŠ in težko te kdo izvleče iz tega.
Še en primer: luštkano mladoletno dekle “zapelje” naivnega turista in ko sta že v sobi vstopijo njeni “bratje in strici”, ki potem izsiljujejo nesojenega ljubimca.
PREPIRANJE Konec maja sta dva pijana in morda celo zadrogirana Filipinca rekla nekemu starejšemu Američanu, če jima plača pivo. Ker jih je grobo zavrnil, sta ga večkrat ustrelila v glavo. Človek je prišel na Filipine za to, da bosta z ženo posvojila tukajšnjo siroto in je zaradi nespametnega vedenja izgubil življenje, mali Filipinček, ki naj bi ga posvojil, pa očeta.
Nič niti približno podobnega se meni še ni zgodilo, je pa res, da sem prijazen, v odnosu do domačinov spoštljiv, mnogokrat se nasmehnem in pokramljam z njimi in tudi počastim jih včasih. Sem pa po potrebi tudi odločen in si ne dovolim izsiljevanja.

SE DA Samo zapomnite si nekaj, če je nekdo luzer v Sloveniji, ima tukaj še mnogo manj možnosti, da bo uspel, ker ne pozna razmer, jezika, zakonov…
Zato še enkrat poudarjam: kdo ne zna poskrbeti zase in za svojo družino v Sloveniji/Evropi, ne bo uspel niti tukaj.

Na našem otoku in na območju otočja Visayas ter na Mindanau govorijo Cebuano oziroma Visaya, na Luzonu na severu in v Manili govorijo Tagalog, ki je v bistvu uradni jezik, poleg angleščine.
Angleško – bolj ali manj dobro, govorijo vsi uradniki, izobraženi ljudje in mnogo mladih.

Priporočam, da imate s seboj: Lekadol, Aspirin, Imunal, Nalgesin, kaj proti driski, obliže in seveda odvisno od vašega zdravja, kar itak jemljete. Morda vam lahko prav pride še en elastičen povoj.

Suho obdobje je od januarja do konca maja: zelo vroče – od 30 do 38 stopinj in relativno malo dežja. Ponoči se malo shladi a je vseeno cca 28 stopinj.
Deževno obdobje od junija do decembra; malo nižje temperature, mnogo lažje za živeti, včasih so nevihte in dež, vendar večinoma zvečer in ponoči.
Deževna doba tukaj sploh ni problem, tako kot v nekaterih državah, kjer je monsun in nepretrgoma dežuje. Tukaj se ulije, čez pol ure pa že sije sonce.
Izjema je seveda, kadar gre čez Filipine tajfun in je tako imenovani “low pressure”. Takrat je lahko seveda mnogo več dežja, vendar skoraj nikoli ne dežuje nepretrgoma več dni.

• moja žena je Filipinka in Filipini kot dežela so mi izjemno všeč
• na Filipinih, na romantičnem otočku Camotes, v otočju Visayas, sva kupila lepo parcelo s pogledom na morje in na njej obnovila hišo
• čudovita narava na 7107 otokih
• zelo revni, vendar pa izjemno prijazni, pozitivni, odprti, spoštljivi in delovni ljudje
• trenutno so Filipini ena najhitreje rastočih ekonomij na svetu
• uradni jezik poleg Tagaloga je Angleščina;
• življenjski stroški so bistveno nižji kot pri nas
• tukaj lahko človek lepo in kakovostno živi s 3 člansko družino za cca 1.000€ na mesec, če že imaš hišo, avto, motor in ostalo, kar je potrebno za življenje
• dober zidar na dan dobi za svoje delo cca 6,3€, njegov pomočnik pa 4€
• relativno dobra infrastruktura – letališča, ladijski transport in ceste
• čisto okolje z izjemo mest

• A good mason gets about € 6.3 a day for his work and € 4 for his assistant
• relatively good infrastructure – airports, shipping and roads
• Clean environment with the exception of cities

ZARADI PODNEBJA
Ker ne marajo mraza, poledice, kidanja snega, megle in strmo naraščajočih življenjski stroškov..
Na Filipinih je toplo, lepo, veliko je sonca in življenjski stroški naraščajo mnogo počasneje
ZARADI STROŠKOV
Ker nočejo plačevati za centralno kurjavo, zimske gume in ker nočejo niti kupovati niti nositi jesenskih, zimskih in spomladanskih oblek ter obutve.
Na Filipinih hiše sploh nimajo ogrevanja, ker se gibljejo temperature od 26 do 34 stopinj in od obleke in obutve potrebuješ: sandale, nekaj majic in nekaj kratkih hlač in morda še kakšne kavbojke.
ZARADI SISTEMA
Ker se nam zdi, da postajamo v naših deželah ujetniki sistema: nenehno se soočamo z represivnimi organi, ki nas hočejo kaznovati zato, da polnijo svoje proračune: kazni zaradi prehitre vožnje, alkohola, telefoniranja v avtu, napačnega parkiranja, inšpektorji vseh vrst te lahko zašijejo zaradi stotih pasti, ki so si jih izmislili zato, da upravičijo svoj obstoj in zaslužijo svoje plače.
Na Filipinih ni radarjev, alkotestov, parkirnin in stotine pravil kaj smeš in česa ne smeš. Če narediš prometni prekršek in te ustavi policist, plačaš kazen, ki gre mnogokrat kar njemu direktno v žep, znaša pa od 4-10€.
Nekateri tarnajo, da vlada v Aziji korupcija. Ja je, toda meni je taka nedolžna korupcija prej všeč, kot pa ne, saj se tako vse dogovoriš in takoj dobiš vse, kar potrebuješ in to za drobiž.
ZARADI OSAMLJENOSTI IN POMANJKANJA LJUBEZNI
Večina tujcev, ki pridejo sem živet je že ločena, samska ali pa so vdovci. Tukaj so sanje mnogih žensk spoznati tujca in se z njim poročiti.
Večina normalnih moških si želi, ne glede na svojo starost, imeti partnerko/življenjsko sopotnico. Ne glede na razočaranja v preteklosti, si skoraj vsakdo želi ljubezni: ljubiti in biti ljubljen.
Na Filipinih še nikoli nisem slišal besede emancipacija; ženske so večinoma še vedno ženske – tudi visoko izobražene. Skrbijo za družino in dom, so mnogo bolj skromne kot evropske ali ameriške ženske in jim je všeč, če je moški res moški in zna poskrbeti za varnost in blagostanje družine.
Zgrešena je miselnost, da želijo Filipinke tujce zgolj zaradi denarja. Njim je osnovna prioriteta družina in varnost, kar upajo, da si lahko obetajo od zveze s tujcem.
ZARADI ŽIVLJENJSKEGA STANDARDA TUKAJ
Moški iz srednega razreda v Evropi imajo plačo in standard, ki zadošča za relativno normalno in spodobno življenje dokler delajo, ko pa se bodo upokojili, bo pokojnina mnogih premajhna za kakovostno, aktivno življenje.
Primer: 1.000€ na mesec je v Sloveniji premalo za normalno življenje brez odrekanja, na Filipinih je pa to relativno veliko in tujci s tako pokojnino veljajo v očeh Filipincev za bogate.

In the Philippines, houses do not have heating at all, as temperatures range from 26 to 34 degrees and you need clothes and shoes: sandals, a few shirts, some shorts and maybe some jeans.
BECAUSE OF THE SYSTEM
Because we feel like we are becoming a prisoner in our countries, we are constantly confronted with repressive authorities who want to punish us for filling our budgets. Penalties for speeding, alcohol, making phone calls, misplaced parking, inspectors of all kinds. They sew up because of the hundreds of traps they invented to justify their existence and earn their wages.
In the Philippines, there are no radars, breath tests, parking fees and hundreds of rules about what you can and can’t do. If you commit a traffic offense and are stopped by a police officer, you pay a fine that often goes directly into his pocket, ranging from 4-10 €.
Some have ruled that there is corruption in Asia. Yes it is, but I like this innocent corruption rather than not, because this is how you agree everything and you immediately get everything you need for a small exchange.
BECAUSE OF LONELINESS AND LACK OF LOVE
Most foreigners who come here to live are already divorced, single, or widowed. Many women’s dreams are here to meet and marry a stranger.
Most normal men, regardless of their age, want to have a partner / life partner. Despite the disappointments of the past, almost everyone wants love: to love and to be loved.
In the Philippines, I had never heard the word emancipation; for the most part, women are still women – even highly educated. They care about family and home, are much more humble than European or American women, and they care if a man is really a man and can take care of the safety and well-being of the family.
The misconception that Filipinos want foreigners solely for the money is misguided. Their primary priority is family and security, which they hope they can promise from a relationship with a stranger.
FOR A LIFE STANDARD HERE
Middle-class men in Europe have a salary and standard that is sufficient for a relatively normal and decent life as long as they work, but when they retire, the pension of many will be too small for a quality, active life.
Example: € 1,000 a month is not enough for a normal life in Slovenia without giving up, but in the Philippines it is relatively large and foreigners with such a pension are considered rich in the eyes of Filipinos.

Kot dobre vile v primerjavi z ženskami iz zahodne civilizacije. One skrbijo za svoje družine in so izjemno odgovorne, pridne in delovne. Ne glede na izjemno težke pogoje v katerih živijo, skrbijo za svoje starše, može, številne otroke.
S tem ne želim reči, da so boljše kot evropske ženske, so pa drugačne. So mnogo bolj skromne, pozitivne, vesele, optimistične in skrbne.
Filipinska ženska vidi v starejšem moškem-tujcu nekoga, ki mu lahko zaupa (kar filipinskemu moškemu, še posebno če je mlad, ne more), ki bo skrbel zanjo in jo spoštoval. Tujec v Filipinski družini pomeni pravzaprav skorajda božji blagoslov za celotno družino.
Filipinske ženske pri moškem ne gledajo toliko kakšna je njegova zunanjost (sploh jih ne moti, če je debel, plešast in za naše razmere neprivlačen) pač pa jim je zelo pomembno, kakšen je po karakterju.
Poponoma zmotna je predstava, da si želi Filipinska ženska moškega zaradi denarja; želi si ga zaradi občutka varnosti in zato, ker verjame, da jo bo spoštoval in ji omogočil človeka vredno življenje. Ne glede na starostno razliko, ki je za naše razmere izjemno velika, imajo te ženske svoje može resnično in iskreno rade.

Like good fairies compared to women from Western civilization. They care for their families and are extremely responsible, good and hardworking. Despite of extremely difficult conditions they live, they care for their parents, husbands, and children.
I do not mean to say that they are better than European women, but they are different. They are much more humble, positive, cheerful, optimistic and caring.
A Filipino woman sees in an older male-foreigner someone she can trust (which a Filipino man, especially when he is young, cannot), who will look after and respect her. Foreigner in a Filipino family is actually almost God’s blessing for the whole family.
Filipino women do not look at a man as much about his appearance (he does not mind at all if he is fat, bald and unattractive for our situation), but it is very important to them his character.
The idea that a Filipino woman wants a man for money is a misconception; she wants him because of her sense of security and because she believes that he will respect her and give her a life worth living. Regardless of the age difference, which is extremely large for our situation, these women really love their husbands.

Tudi oni so relativno pozitivni in prijazni, vendar pa je njihov odnos do družine bistveno manj predan in spoštljiv. Za njih je značilen “latino” temperament, kar pomeni, da ne spoštujejo žensk in družine, radi popivajo in uživajo, mnogi ne skrbijo za svoje otroke in ženski preprosto pustijo, da zanje skrbijo same, oni pa si poiščejo druge ženske. Naj pa poudarim, da so nekateri tudi izjemno odgovorni, skrbni, dobri poslovneži in tudi odlični možje in očetje.

They are also relatively positive and kind, but their attitude towards family is much less committed and respectful. They are characterized by a “Latino” temperament, meaning that they do not respect women and families, they like to drink and enjoy themselves, many do not care for their children and simply let women take care of them alone, and they look for other women. But let me emphasize that some are also extremely responsible, caring, good business people and also excellent husbands and fathers.
